Spicy Wild Blueberry Cacao Smoothie

 

 

 

Whether you have or haven’t been feeling satisfied with food lately, Kelly Jones, Registered Dietitian, has a wildly delicious smoothie for you! This recipe features nutrient-rich blueberries, and a hint of spice. When it only takes one minute to make, there’s no excuse.

 

 

 

Makes One Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1 C wild blueberries
  • 1 6 ounce container plain yogurt (if non-dairy, choose soy or almond to obtain protein)
  • 1/4 C unsweetened vanilla soy or almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp cacao
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1 Tbsp shredded unsweetened Coconut
Directions:
  • Add all ingredients except coconut to a blender and pulse until smooth
  • Pour into a glass or to-go cup and stir in coconut
